Fashion trends and colours for the new year are leaning towards more natural fibres and colours and the Jungle look is on trend – earthy colours of dark and light greens, browns, spicy reds and tan, stone and clay earth pigments, such as umber, ochre, and sienna.Think jungle or safari African. Farewell Shabby Chic and hello Earthy Jungle!
Designers are using the jungle theme of palm trees, wild and exotic birds and beasts to showcase wallpaper and fabrics. Hang wallpaper on one wall and paint the other three walls in shades of stone, off-white or greys, and compliment the vibrant colours and shapes using accessories in wood, jute, skins and woven fabrics. You can keep the walls plain and update your curtains using palm leaves or jungle prints! Or simply add some jungle print or zebra print cushions and throws on a neutral lounge.
